Wine of the Week

Beaumont Heritage 2009 and Beaumont Gamay Noir 2009

Located at the foot of Mt. Boucherie in West Kelowna BC, Beaumont Family Estate Winery produces 100% certified organic wines and grows orgainc certified grapes.

Gamay Noir 2009:  A light red wine full of cherry and red berry flavours with a nice amount of earthiness and a bit of spiciness with a hint of vanilla.  Perfect match for roasted chicken.

Heritage 2009:  A blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay Noir.  Black currant is the major flavour here with strawberry and raspberry in the background with a pleasant earthiness to round it out.  Pair with roast pork and will be perfect for holiday turkey dinner.

Beer of the Week

Wychwood Brewing Wychcraft Blonde Ale

A traditionally brewed blond made with a blend of three malts and three types of hops.
Pale straw coloured with a crisp and dry finish.  The malts make a nice dry biscuity base for the aromatic and zesty hops.

Pairings:  Tapas, white meats, BBQ and tomato based pasta dishes.
