Firefly serves up holiday cheer in Maple Ridge with the opening of a new fine wines and ales store
Firefly Fine Wines and Ales is proud to celebrate the opening of its new Maple Ridge store with a complementary wine and beer tasting event on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 12 pm to 5 pm at 21755 Lougheed Highway. Guests can embrace the festive spirit early and stock up on a vast selection of wines and beers from a diverse range of quality wineries and breweries.
Maple Ridge residents can enjoy social mingling, taste testing and Christmas preparations at the special event. In house wine professionals will provide a sample of stylish wines and ales from four wineries and five breweries in British Columbia. The finest offerings come from Dead Frog Brewery, Howe Sound Brewery, Mission Springs Brewery, Granville Island Brewery, Tangled Vines, Prospect Winery, Therapy Wines and the Award winning Church & State. This contemporary exploration of beverages takes place amidst an equally cutting-edge interior of inviting dark wood and sleek chrome that houses over 2000 square feet of choices.
With Langhorne Creek Shiraz and Viognier grapes, this wine is rich and full-bodied with tones of cherry and plum. It is matured in French and American Oak for two years. This wine has firm tannins with blackcurrant and violet aromas.
