Wine of the Week - Elephant Island Black Currant 2010
2010 Black Currant Wine
An incomparable wine … you’ll love it, or your cheeks will end up in the top of your skull.
Huge flavors of berry, bell pepper and pomegranate dominate, all backed by the singular crispness of currant.
... And, should you need an excuse to indulge Black Currant is THE healthy wine - it is chock a block full of antioxidants. One black currant berry has more vitamin C than an entire orange, and there are alot of berries in one 750 ml bottle of Black Currant Wine.
Recommended Pairings
Perfect with anything heavily spiced or salty + fairly oily in consistency – greek salad (lot’s of feta!), Memphis rubbed rack of ribs, or Lamb Chops with Oregano and Lemon.
And seriously – salt + vinegar kettle chips!

Phillips Raspberry Wheat
The notes from the Phillips Brewing website sum this beer up nicely.
"A crisp, dry and refreshing summer beer. Brewed with BC raspberries for a full nose and crisp finish, this beer pairs well with sunglasses and patios."
