Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky was launched in 2004, previous to that there had not been a distillery in Wales for over 100 years. It was a welcome return and like Welsh Gold (Aur Cymru), it is a precious commodity.
This single malt is a non chill-filtered whisky which spends 3 years in an American Oak Bourbon cask and is then finished in a Madeira cask. It is exceptionally well balanced with tones of cream toffee and finishes with light tropical fruit tones and vanilla.
Penderyn is definite staff pick at Firefly Maple Ridge!!
